Brief
On Europe Day, EU Delegation to Thailand asked to organise the EU Sustainable Food and Craft Market at Museum Siam. The aim was to foster connections and advocate for a healthier, eco-friendly lifestyle rooted in the shared cultures of Thailand and Europe.
Solution
Under the EUPOP Project, the team worked with the EU Delegation to review relevant Thai and EU Green policies, assessing also what popular habits would resonate to promote healthier lifestyle choices. A sustainable food and craft market was defined as the best approach to engage the wider public. EU and Thai businesses active in sustainable production and consumption practices were selected for the market, and supported by targeted public relations and social media outreach.
Outcome
On the day, the Museum Siam received 1,002 participants, who visited the Food and Craft Sustainable Market. More than just a market, it provided an opportunity to experience shared Thai-European culture and embrace a path towards a more sustainable lifestyle. The event was amplified and followed thanks to a pre and post online social media marketing campaign, and the participation of various content multipliers. The success of this market led to its acknowledgement as a staple of EU public diplomacy activities in Thailand.
